EV Charger Brands We Install in Toronto & the GTA

EV Chargers · October 7, 2026

From Tesla Wall Connectors to FLO, Jule, ChargePoint and Leviton, we install CSA-approved Level 2 chargers across Toronto and the GTA.

Choosing a home charger is partly about the brand on the box and partly about the circuit behind the wall. The unit has to be approved for use in Canada, and the install has to be done to code with the right permit. Both matter if you want overnight charging you can rely on.

This guide covers the brands Electro Group commonly installs, what "customer-supplied" means, and how EV charger installation works for homeowners in Toronto and surrounding areas.

Brands We Commonly Install

We install a wide range of Level 2 chargers, including:

  • Tesla (including Wall Connector installs for Tesla owners)
  • FLO
  • Jule
  • ChargePoint
  • Leviton
  • Other CSA-approved Level 2 chargers suitable for residential use in Canada

If your vehicle maker recommends a particular home charger, we can usually work with that choice as long as the equipment is CSA-approved. If you're still deciding, we can talk through mounting location, circuit size, and panel capacity so the brand you pick fits the house as well as the car.

We're electricians who install charging equipment. We don't claim to be an authorized dealer for any brand. Our job is a safe, permitted, code-compliant installation.

Customer-Supplied Chargers Are Welcome

Already bought a charger online or through a dealership package? That's fine. Electro Group can install customer-supplied Level 2 chargers when they are CSA-approved for use in Canada.

Before we schedule the install, it helps if you can share:

  • The exact model name and any installation manual
  • Whether the unit is hardwired or cord-and-plug connected (as applicable)
  • Where you want it mounted (garage wall, exterior wall, carport)
  • Photos of your electrical panel and the run to the parking spot

We'll confirm the circuit requirements and whether your panel and routing support the install as planned.

Why Approval and Installation Both Matter

A charger brand is only half the story. Level 2 charging typically needs a dedicated 240-volt circuit, correctly sized for continuous load, with wiring methods and breakers that meet the Ontario Electrical Safety Code. For a clearer comparison of charging levels, see Level 2 vs Level 1: What Toronto Homeowners Need for Home EV Charging.

In Ontario, this work generally needs an ESA permit. Electro Group takes out the permit for you and coordinates the inspection process. More detail is in our guide: Do You Need an ESA Permit for an EV Charger in Ontario?.

Skipping either the right equipment approval or the proper install can leave you with a charger that looks finished but isn't set up the way it should be.

Tesla Wall Connector Notes for Toronto Homes

Tesla owners often ask specifically about Wall Connector installation. The electrical scope is still a Level 2 dedicated circuit job: panel assessment, cable route, breaker, mounting, termination, and ESA notification.

Every house differs. Some panels have space and capacity ready to go. Others need a closer look at load and available breaker slots before the charger goes up. We sort that out during the quote visit so you're not surprised mid-install.

Whether you bring a Tesla Wall Connector or another approved unit, the process on our side is the same: assess, quote, permit, install, inspect.

FLO, Jule, ChargePoint, Leviton, and Beyond

Homeowners pick FLO, Jule, ChargePoint, Leviton, and other CSA-approved brands for different reasons: app features, cable length, indoor vs outdoor ratings, and how the unit looks on the wall. From an electrician's perspective, the priorities stay consistent:

  1. Is the equipment approved for Canada?
  2. Can the panel and circuit support it safely?
  3. Is the mounting location practical for daily use and cable management?
  4. Is the ESA paperwork handled?

If you're comparing models, focus on those questions first. Feature lists matter more once the electrical foundation is sound.
